ABOUT THE ROLE
Personal Capital is looking for a remote Newsroom Marketing Intern to support the work of the internal newsroom team on projects related to content marketing and public relations. The Marketing Assistant will gain exposure to other functions, such as product, market research, project management, design and email.
We are looking for someone with an interest in content marketing, writing, and PR who can balance the needs for proficiency, attention to detail, and timeliness.
Responsibilities Include
Crafting and sending story pitches to news publications
Updating press contacts and scheduling press opportunities
Supporting in newsroom administrative tasks such as compliance submissions, tracking press mentions, article impact and more
Copyediting and proofreading support for long-form articles
Updating long-form B2C guides with most recent information
Supporting in the development of SEO blog content
Staging articles in WordPresss
Creating competitive analysis reports as needed
Required Experience For The Position
Enrolled in college-degree program
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Google Workspace
Able to work at least 3 days a week
Marketing-related studies or background preferred

The salary range below describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
