Position at Funding Circle US

Funding Circle US is seeking a passionate and highly motivated undergraduate or graduate-level intern to join our 10-week summer internship class on our US Operations team. These teams include Loan Operations, Payments Processing, and Quality Assurance.   Our Operations teams are constantly striving to optimize business performance.

The Operations teams are a great place to get a broad picture of our Business. We interact with sales, underwriting, capital markets, compliance, finance and many other teams to make sure Funding Circle can meet its mission. As an intern with us we are planning to provide you with diverse projects where you can get an idea of the full scope encompassed within our team. 

Birds-eye view of the role:

Work on cross functional projects to help Operations teams build efficiency, save cost and work smarter. 

In this role you will...

• Understand how Operations Supports the greater US Business
• Perform 2-3 Deep dive projects 
• Work closely with partner teams to drive the implementation of operational strategies
• Present findings and recommendations from the project to senior management at the end of the internship
• You would work on the day to day tasks and additional projects in the Loan Operations and Payments area under the close oversight of a mentor
•  The role will require coordination cross-functionally with other departments to research and implement improved solutions.

You’ve been there done this…

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and will graduate between May 2020 - August 2022
• Proficient with analytical tools like excel, SQL
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent ability to translate complex problems into clear and simple stories
• Strong track record of leadership and accountability
• Proactive personality with the ability to work across different teams

• Enthusiasm for a fast-paced, team-oriented, start-up environment with demanding expectations
• Ability to multi-task and manage time independently
• Flexibility- Our goal is to have you work on 2-3 vastly different projects and you’ll need to be able to adjust your style to accommodate

 It would also be great if you have…

• Had experience working in financial technology
• Excitement for challenging the status quo, tackling challenging and ambiguous problems, and experimenting with new approaches
