We are looking for an IT Intern to lend a hand to our fast-growing company. A successful Information Technology (IT) Intern at Wurk will gain real-world experience and support the IT staff in hardware, support and other technological tasks and issues. Working closely with IT Manager this person will gain practical, hands-on experience. We will consider a permanent part-time or full-time position post-internship completion. We are looking for local talent only. Please disregard if you do not reside in the Denver-Metro area.

Responsibilities:

• Support the IT team in the maintenance and support of hardware, COTS software and other systems.
• Resolve and close trouble tickets.
• Troubleshoot issues with equipment like printers, computers and servers.
• Run software updates backups when requested.
• Participate in the development of new desktops, servers or applications.
• Research hosting options and report pricing and system options to supervisors.
• Research unusual bugs or issues the company encounters.

Skills:

• Take direction well and be motivated self-starters.
• Must be open and excited to learn new technologies.
• Must have strong communication skills, both written and oral.
•  Be customer service-oriented and learn techniques to best serve clients

Education:

• Pursuit of a degree in computer science, information technology or engineering.
• Have a class schedule that allows the student to work at least two days each week for at least four hours each day.
• Some education in programming, database management and technologies like MS SQL, Exchange, Access and .Net frameworks.

Additional details:

• Part-time, non-exempt
• Wage: $15/hour
• Estimated 10-20 hours a week, depending on class schedule
