Eligibility
The Zayo internship program is open to graduating seniors and current students. All internships are paid, full-time work experiences. All internships are from June 3* - August 9, 2019 (*start date flexible to academic obligations).
Position Description
The Inventory Analyst Intern at Zayo will be responsible for monitoring and anticipating the usage of new and spares equipment in support of Zayo’s Cloud Infrastructure business in order to support the Cloud Procurement team. The intern will assist in defining inventory management processes which will drive decisions and allow Zayo Enterprise to improve strategy and deliver value proposition. Part of this process will be completing location physical inventories and entering detailed information into our inventory management tools. This process will include defining and generating inventory management reports from multiple asset tracking systems.
Responsibilities
Define inventory management processes to drive the most efficient flow of materials between Zayo storage locations and Zayo Data Center locations
Create metrics and reports through Salesforce and Device42
Analyze supply chain operations to improve efficiencies across the organization
Qualifications
Studying/degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, and/or Engineering
Knowledge of Kanban Inventory and Demand Flow inventory management is a plus
Critical analytical skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
Quick learner with strong communication skills
Ability to turn a complex challenge into an innovative solution
Proficiency in the MS Office suite focusing on MS Excel and Powerpoint
