Cloud Data Services (CDS): By harnessing the power of hybrid cloud data services, customers gain the freedom of choice to securely manage and move data – anywhere, on any cloud. CIBU (Cloud Infrastructure Business Unit): At NetApp we build cloud infrastructures, that allows customers to get the scale and quality of service that modern applications require.  Only NetApp can help organizations focus on the business at hand when they develop a zero-touch infrastructure that manages apps, data and services as one integrated resource supporting both public and private clouds. To this end, our Cloud Infrastructure team wakes up every day thinking of new ways to: INSPIRE innovation with the cloud, BUILD clouds to accelerate new services, MODERNIZE ITarchitecture with cloud-connected flash 

SS&S (Storage, Software & Systems): The Storage Software and Systems Group develops the critical technologies behind NetApp’s All Flash Storage Arrays, the backbone of high-performance and cloud-connected applications such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, container-based DevOps environments, and high-performance video imaging. We also deliver Software Defined Storage solutions that can be run in the cloud, in IoT devices, and in remote locations throughout the world.

Job Requirements

 

  • Data sciences coursework 

  • Programming skills in 1 or more high-level languages (C, C++, Java, etc) 

  • Linux command line and system administration skills 

  • Experience with at least one scripting language (i.e. Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash, etc.) 

  • Motivated self-starter with an equal balance of strong analytical skills and customer-facing communication skills 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills to engage any audience 

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills 

  • Demonstrated mindset for continuous learning and knowledge transfer 

  • Knowledge of public cloud architectures and networking is a plus 

  • Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of people. 

  • Understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript and front-end frameworks such as Angular. Some experience working with Node.js. 

  • Creative and analytical approach to problem solving and analysis.

 

 

 

Education

 

We are seeking candidates that are pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or an equivalent degree.
