DigitalGlobe is looking for 2 interns over the summer to join our OASIS team (Operations and Advancement of Spacecraft Infrastructure Solutions). This position works with the Mission Control System software development teams. The software development intern will be assigned tasks based on the needs of the team. The intern will report to a lead on the team and the engineering manager. The team designs, develops, and troubleshoots the Mission Control software. The intern will work with software developers, testers, operations engineers and systems engineers.

• Migrate code repositories from CVS and SVN to Git.
• Develop a data loader in Ruby for automated functional testing.
• Develop and customize elastic search scripts used in troubleshooting.

Basic Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree program in a discipline which involves programming and extensive use of UNIX-based operating systems.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ruby or Python experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and work with minimal assistance.
• Experience working with AWS preferred.
• Local candidates will be given preference.
