This position works with the Mission Control System software development teams. The software development intern will be assigned tasks based on the needs of the team. The intern will report to a lead on the team and the engineering manager. The team designs, develops, and troubleshoots the Mission Control software. The intern will work with software developers, testers, ops engineers and systems engineers.

Job Responsibilities

• Various, as assigned by manager or software engineers in the group
  • migrate code repositories from CVS and SVN to Git
  • develop a data loader in Ruby for automated functional testing
  • develop and customize elastic search scripts used in troubleshooting

Basic Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Bachelors degree program in a discipline which involves programming and extensive use of UNIX-based operating systems
• US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference given to candidates with Ruby or Python experience
• Ability to learn and work with minimal assistance.
