Eligibility
The Zayo internship program is open to graduating seniors and current students. All internships are paid, full-time work experiences. All internships are from June 7* - August 13, 2021. (*start date flexible to academic obligations)
Position Description
The Human Resources Intern will be responsible for providing general HR and Benefits support, Workday and executing HR initiatives and projects that are scheduled for completion in 2021 and impact all employees at Zayo.
Responsibilities
Review and audit I9’s
Collect missing I9 information
Work with managers to create missing job descriptions
Clean up job profiles in Workday
Organize electronic employee files
Create internal People Operations Website
Assist People Operations Partners as needed
Manage benefits information in the Google Drive
Benefit communication support
Global benefits comparison
Qualifications
Studying/degree in HR/Talent Management preferred, otherwise general BA or business majors considered
Strong attention to detail
Strong technology (Excel and Google suite) and people skills
Strong communication and organizational skills
Learning Goals
Gain an understanding of people operations, corporate operations, team work, and seeing projects through to completion
Gain industry experience, robust knowledge of HR processes and procedures, an education in telecom, and understanding of Zayo’s foundational role in broadband
Strengthen critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills
Gain an understanding of Salesforce and Workday
Exposure to a variety of networking opportunities
