Eligibility
The Zayo internship program is open to graduating seniors and current students. All internships are paid, full-time work experiences. All internships are from June 7* - August 13, 2021 (*start date flexible to academic obligations)
Position Description
Interns who are studying business, would like international business experience, and are looking to learn more about general processes while developing analytical skills are encouraged to apply. Interns will work cross functionally and internationally on a variety of strategic projects with other students completing work related to penetrating Zayo’s existing markets, sweating Zayo’s assets, and/or Zayo data integrity.
Projects may include but are not limited to: data driven international vendor analysis; process implementations and improvements; identifying potential key vendors and markets; and/or completing data validation.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain database for global market pricing
Identify top vendors and research potential vendors and affiliations to support the Global Partnerships team
Assist with data validation and clean up
Set up dashboard and trackers to assist with data analysation
Clerical support as needed
Additional duties as assigned
Work cross-departmentally and internationally to create and improves processes between markets
Build a lead generation program and provide support to quoting teams
Qualifications
Studying Business or related degree
Experience analyzing information to derive insights for business improvements a plus
Experience with Salesforce or OneStream a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required; G Suite products a plus
Extreme attention to detail with a keen eye on accuracy
Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and turn information into reports
Must be flexible and able to deal with a number of variables in dynamic situations
Ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively, with excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent communicator; willing to write to, speak to, and communicate with all levels and across functions of the organization
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
Ability to view issues and concerns from multiple perspectives, and to keep the “big picture” in focus
Strong sense of teamwork highly desired
High energy individual with strong work ethic and ability to multitask
Must be a self-motivator
