DigitalGlobe is seeking an intern in FP&A for the summer of 2018. Our intention is to have this person work to align and operationalize our Long Range Plan (LRP). DigitalGlobe’s LRP reflects the expected performance of the enterprise over the course of the next 10+ years. It is a key forecasting tool for metrics that are imperative to tracking our progress and expectations (ROIC, Free Cash Flow, EBITDA, etc.) Due to the scope of the model and all that it incorporates, we rely on many disparate data sources and human resources to ensure its fidelity. We need to formalize the rigor around the comprehensive data integrity in the model and consistency in its inputs/outputs.

The FP&A department at DigitalGlobe touches every aspect of the enterprise. From Satellite Operators to Product Managers to Platform Architects, FP&A translates the work those groups do into financial impact and uses that information to make decisions that help guide our business. We also have an incredible opportunity at the moment to help shape the outlook of the newly formed Maxar Technologies.

Additionally, this will provide insight into practical applications of all of DigitalGlobe’s financial statements and measurements and will offer glimpses of how our enterprise develops strategies for years in the future.
  • The resource will work directly with the Director of FP&A and the Sr Manager of FP&A, as well as the rest of the FP&A team.
