Eligibility
The Zayo internship program is open to graduating seniors and current students. All internships are paid, full-time work experiences. All internships are from June 7* - August 13, 2021 (*start date flexible to academic obligations).
Position Description
Interns studying finance and/or accounting are encouraged to apply! Interns will work on a variety of strategic projects and work cross-functionally to complete analysis and data audit penetrating Zayo’s Capital management and Procurement data analysis and data integrity.
Projects may include but are not limited to: Supplier Contract audit and data integrity, Procurement process and data clean up, Capital projects reconciling, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
Supplier Contract Audit and SF Data integrity: Review supplier contract and update SF with verified payment term and contract expiration dates
Reconcile vendor accounts and master contract records in SalesForce: Account Hierarchy, Account Status, zCon links and contract nesting
Identify vendors whose contracts need to be renewed
Review and organize Procurement documents
Purchase Order data integrity audit: Closing, cancellation, and system tie-out
Capital project reconciliation and audit, work with various team to ensure data integrity
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Studying Finance, Economics, Accounting or related degree
Possess basic modeling skills and understanding of capital budgeting
Experience analyzing financial information and data to derive insights for business improvements a plus
Experience with Salesforce or OneStream a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required; G Suite products a plus
Extreme attention to detail with a keen eye on accuracy
Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and turn information into reports
Must be flexible and able to deal with a number of variables in dynamic situations
Ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively, with excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent communicator; willing to write to, speak to, and communicate with all levels and across functions of the organization
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
Ability to view issues and concerns from multiple perspectives, and to keep the “big picture” in focus
A strong sense of teamwork highly desired
High energy individual with a strong work ethic and ability to multitask
Must be a self-motivator
