The mission of DigitalGlobe’s Corporate Accounting department is to provide timely decision-quality financial information to decision makers in compliance with IFRS/GAAP and other regulatory agencies. Corporate accounting strives for accuracy, efficiency and maintaining an appropriate control environment in supporting the business. Corporate accounting will be responsible for all accounting functions including Technical, Tax, General, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Consolidation, and Reporting for MAXAR.
Responsibilities
The role of the Accounting Intern will be to assist with the consolidation of accounting functions from various entities to Corporate. This role will also support and work closely with General, International and Fixed Asset Staff accounts. Job duties include prepaid accounting, monthly accruals, transfer pricing calculation for International entities, fixed asset accounting, assisting with internal and external audits, SOX compliance and other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
College student studying Accounting/Finance. Must have completed at least 2 years of study, preferably 3 years.
Intermediate/Advanced skills in Excel; Intermediate skills in MS Word; Intermediate skills in PowerPoint
Must have the demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
