As a Graphic Design and Social Media Intern, you will have an opportunity to start towards your career as a digital marketer and/or social media and brand specialist. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing materials and sharing social communications, all while maintaining the Wurk’s aesthetics and brand voice. A successful candidate will bring innovative ideas, attention to detail and the enthusiasm and energy to learn. Must have the ability to collaborate in a team environment; possessing strong interpersonal and communicative skills, both verbal and written.

What you’ll need to accomplish:

• Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and Marketing Director to develop digital and print materials, including banners, case studies, brochures, and more.
• Design and follow standard brand guidelines across all mediums.
• Deliver concepts that align with design best practices and uphold our brand vision of being approachable, inclusive, and professional.
• Manage social media channels with assistance from the marketing team.
• Utilize hashtags and create intriguing Instagram stories and highlights.
• Create organized marketing plans and collaborate on campaigns.
• Review analytics with the marketing team to determine the effectiveness of efforts.
• Collaborate on other marketing or sales efforts as needed.

What you’ll need to have:

• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with social media channels
• Ability to create content such as memes, animated GIFs, and short videos.
• Experience with HTML/CSS is a plus, but not necessary
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to meet the demands of multiple deadlines
• A portfolio of work demonstrating your skills in social media management and graphic design.
