Responsibilities
You will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of video and audio (podcast) production, including but not limited to; creative brainstorming, pre-production, production, editing and post-production. The scope of the work will include videos created for internal educational purposes and videos and podcasts created to expand the marketing and communication efforts of the company and its clients, to be distributed on a variety of platforms. You will also assist in general digital marketing duties, including campaign planning and executing, website maintenance and more
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
General Creativity
- Bring fresh and creative ideas to the table for new avenues of video production
- Demonstrate creative decision-making and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and multi-tasking abilities
Pre-Production
- Planning and scheduling video productions
- Setup and transportation of lights, cameras, audio, set and other equipment
- Booking locations and talent/extras, finding props
- Determining equipment needs
Production
- Operating live video cameras (will train)
- Monitoring audio signals and quality
Editing & Post Production
- Edit videos to adhere to brand, meet content and time constraints
- Execute and deliver final video
- Include animations, sound and graphic effects
Asset Management
- Organize and manage our library of assets for easy retrieval and repurposing
- Maintain and organize storage of video production equipment
Requirements & Skills
- Currently a junior, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent
- Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer (May or June through Mid-August; Available start dates: May 21, May 29, June 4, June 11. Earliest end date is August 17)
- Be proficient in FCP X (Photoshop and After Effects a plus)
- Interest or knowledge of electronics or electronic components is a great benefit, and an Engineering background is a huge plus
- Working knowledge of cameras and shooting video
- Ability to shoot and edit under pressure and produce professional-quality footage while consistently meeting deadlines
- Social media savviness a big plus
- Excellent creativity, flexibility, and desire to learn
- Ability to craft storyboard/script a plus
- Ability to work in a Mac based environment.
Compensation
This is a paid internship.
