As the IT Intern in our Denver office within the Document Generation and Administration IT Capability, you will work on a multitude of projects over your 10-12 week internship.  We are seeking a senior pursuing their undergraduate degree (will also consider first year graduate students) who is looking to gain experience outside the classroom to develop your skills and further career interests in the IT, or the Industrial Real Estate field as a whole.  This internship is an opportunity to gain exposure to diverse areas within the Industrial Real Estate and Information Technology arenas for a company at the top of their game.

Position responsibilities may include the following:

  • Agile software development projects including but not limited to document automation, data integrations and document repository development.
  • Elicit business requirements through in-person or virtual interactions by documenting requirement descriptions, acceptance criteria, and functional design requirements, as well as any associated data definitions/use cases that align to data governance and data lineage standards.
  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing document automation processes and applications.
  • Maintenance of change management, training and communication tools.
  • Develop small automations using his/her programmatic skills.
  • Build prototypes as needed.
  • Assess the data model exists in the current system.
  • Data Mining as needed.
  • Involve in CI/CD (Continuous integration/ Continuous Deployment) Process
  • Create Wireframes based on the process flows
  • Other special projects.

 

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Senior level student working towards their Bachelors’ degree (first year graduate school students will also be considered).  Preferred majors: Information Technology, Data Management, Business Intelligence, Real Estate Finance or similar
  • An interest in commercial real estate, information technology, and the software development process.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a self-starter attitude.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to ever changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills with the ability to distill meaningful and accurate information from potentially ambiguous business descriptions.
  • Ability to analyze and articulate the value of proposed solutions/requirements.
  • Able to work fairly independently with minimal supervision, with equal ability to work collaboratively on a team and accept constructive feedback.

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, SharePoint, and Jira software is a plus
  • Direct work experience on the software development life cycle is a plus
  • Real Estate experience/interest a plus
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbally.
  • Knowledge in Cloud Based Solutions is a plus
  • Knowledge in any programming languages, SQL is a plus
