As the Business Analyst Undergrad Intern in our Denver office within the Business Capability Engineering Group, you will work on a discernible project over your 10-12 week internship.  We are seeking a junior or senior pursuing their undergraduate degree (will also consider first year graduate students) who is looking to gain experience outside the classroom to develop your skills and further career interests in the IT, Finance or Data Governance/Analytics fields.  This internship is an opportunity to gain exposure to diverse areas within the Industrial Real Estate and Information Technology arenas for a company at the top of their game.

Position responsibilities may include the following:

• Special projects assigned by the team
• Assist business analyst by eliciting articulated and unarticulated business requirements through in-person or virtual interactions
• Assist business analyst by documenting requirement descriptions, acceptance criteria, and functional design requirements, as well as any associated data definitions/use cases that align to data governance and data lineage standards
• Basic to intermediate financial modeling, data modeling and business intelligence work
• Maintenance of change management and communication tools
• Ad hoc analysis in Excel and potentially other Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
• Able to work fairly independently with minimal supervision, with equal ability to work collaboratively on a team and accept constructive feedback
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Advanced Sophomore, Junior or Senior level student working towards their Bachelors’ degree (first year graduate school students will also be considered).  Preferred majors: Information Technology, Data Management, Business Intelligence, Real Estate Finance or similar
• An interest in commercial real estate, information technology and/or data analytics
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with a self-starter attitude
• Ability to adapt quickly to ever changing demands in a fast-paced environment
• Work effectively with diverse teams of people with multiple perspectives and talents
• Strong verbal/written communication skills with the ability to distill meaningful and accurate information from potentially ambiguous business descriptions
• Ability to analyze and articulate the value of proposed solutions/requirements
• Advanced expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with Salesforce, SharePoint, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and Rally software a plus
• Experience with PowerBI or other Data Analytics tools a plus
• Direct work experience on financial modeling, executive dashboards or reporting a plus
• Real Estate experience/interest a plus
• Effective communicator
