PopSockets LLC, designs, manufactures and sells innovative lifestyle products. Our flagship product, the PopSockets grip, was invented by philosophy professor David Barnett, with the first grip sold in 2014. The business has since sold over 40 million grips around the world and this year was ranked as Inc. 5000’s second fastest growing company in America. Our product is a collapsible grip and stand that provides secure one-handed holding for any mobile device. Customizable, repositionable, and addictingly fun to pop, PopSockets products embody the company's mission to create empowering, personal, and magical products.

The Role:

Are you a CU Boulder student with tons of extra-curriculars looking for a chance to get some professional experience (and $$$) with a top local company? We’re looking for a couple of passionate, social media savvy students to join PopSockets as Brand Ambassadors for our PopThirst products, which include Koozies and drink sleeves, both on campus and around Boulder. These ambassadors would be responsible for identifying campus, club and local events that could serve as activation opportunities for our new products, and representing PopSockets at these events. You would also have the opportunity to pitch your own strategic, data driven ideas and make recommendations to high level Marketing managers, and make your own impact on the product and the brand. 

What You’ll Do:

- Build skills in Strategy Development, PR Management, Research and Data Analysis, Community 

Management and Social Media

- Identify events both on and off campus that would serve as positive engagement opportunities

- Become a subject matter expert on our products

- Identify potential influencers for our brand

- Offer strategic suggestions based on your knowledge and findings 

- Report on data and metrics of efforts

- Have the opportunity to discuss insights and direction with Marketing professionals

- Assist with event planning and management 

*We see the opportunity as part-time (10-15 hours a week) for the next 6 months, and are happy to work with your schedules*

About You:

- Rising Junior/Senior

- Social Media expertise focusing on Instagram, with an understanding of what makes a good influencer

- Lots of established extracurriculars and community involvement, the more the better

- Hopefully already a PopSockets fan!

- Outgoing and well spoken
