2022 Public Relations / Executive Communications Intern
The Public Relations / Executive Communications summer internship offers an opportunity to learn and work alongside members of Zoom’s PR and Exec Comms team. The internship entails partnering with various team members on existing or new projects and tasks impacting Zoom’s business and initiatives. This position requires being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Our Global Emerging Talent Intern Program offers additional support through dedicated mentorship, technical trainings, a leadership speaker series and team specific events. This paid internship is for a duration of 12 weeks during the summer of 2022. The program offers cutting edge projects, as well as a mix of additional types of learning in areas of leadership and business acumen-- and is packed full of fun!
What you will do:
Research and develop strategic pitch ideas and media targets
Draft press releases, pitches and help with briefing prep
Coordinate logistical details related to PR events/activities/announcements
Track and analyze media coverage
Vet incoming media and speaking opportunities
Assist in special projects as necessary
Assist with Zoom’s press, about, and media-kit page updates
Attend cross-functional meetings
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a BA/BS or graduate program
Major in Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications preferred
Previous work in public relations or communications field
Flexible, resourceful and a self-starter
Excellent presentation, written and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced highly demanding environment
Strong problem-solving and organization skills
