Job Summary
Under the direction of the Payroll Manager, the Internal Payroll Analyst I performs payroll administration for the firm, in accordance with company policies and procedures and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations for about 2500 employees in multiple states and localities.
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Administers payroll processing functions for the firm and its employees
  • Maintains Employee master file
  • Prepares and transmits payroll data to payroll processor
  • Reviews processed payroll before submission
  • Prepares Accounts Payable remittance for dollars deducted from payroll to various agencies
  • Provides various payroll related reporting


Required Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred, or equivalent work experience, as appropriate.
  • Two+ years of job-related experience.
  • Experience working with Workday preferred.

  • Ability to balance many projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions.
  • Requires strong problem identification/analysis skills.
  • Ability to provide clear, concise, advanced verbal and written communications

Additional Details:
Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $21 to $28, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
