Job Description
OrthoFi is building a world-class team that is committed to wowing customers at every opportunity. We are looking for an Insurance Coordinator who is excited to join a fast-paced startup. Candidate must be self-motivated, a self-starter, and love a challenge. The Insurance Verifier will support insurance benefit verification and may assist with downstream claims processing services to multiple orthodontic offices located across the United Status. Responsibilities included but are not limited to the following:
Verify insurance benefits using electronic, web, phone, and fax back methods
Coordinate insurance benefits when multiple plans exist
Manage communications with patients and practice staff
Discuss financial arrangements
Communicate with various insurance carriers
Communicate with practice staff and patients about benefits, co-pays, and care authorization
Collaborate with cross functional team on continuous improvement projects related to processes and/or product improvements

Desired Skills and Experience
Experience with processing medical insurance claims and/or eligibility checks (orthodontic or dental claims management preferred) desired
Prior experience managing claims while working as a Front Desk Receptionist or Treatment Coordinator is preferred
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and solve poorly defined problems
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and active listening
Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Documents
Have the ability to learn and utilize business related software systems
Must exhibit empathy and compassion for patients
Ability to adapt to change quickly, and show a sense of urgency
Strong judgment and decision making abilities
Natural curiosity with a strong aptitude to learn quickly
Very strong technical aptitude
Ability to prioritize work based upon customer need
