Who doesn’t love a vacation? At InvitedHome, we take it one step further. Because we love vacation...homes. In fact, we believe that finding the right one to share with your family and friends is essential to the soul. And a rewarding, fulfilling internship should be no different. If you’re methodical and thorough, if you’re agile and a quick learner, and if you’re looking for an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-built,  industry changing company  that will take your career right along with it – well – welcome home.

Who We Are

InvitedHome is the next great hospitality brand, combining the service and consistency of fine hotels with beautiful private homes in amazing destinations. We believe vacations are essential to the soul. We believe every person deserves to be treated like a human being. We believe in always staying ahead of our competition. And we believe a team of people who share those values can become the undisputed leader in luxury vacation rentals by creating priceless vacation memories for anyone, anytime, anywhere.

Who You Are

You’re always the “organized” one in your circle of friends. You’re continually sorting out every detail of your life and constantly checking things off your to-do lists.  You secretly enjoy creating spreadsheets to coordinate the finer points of life.  Over the years, you’ve honed your organizational, administrative, and people skills, but now you’re ready to apply that expertise to something bigger. In short, you’re ready to make your mark on the world’s next great hospitality brand by administering the heck out of our HR department. Our previous intern initiated our 401(K), revitalized our Glassdoor profile, and infused our company culture with more positive projects than we can count, so you’ll have pretty big shoes to fill. But that doesn’t scare a high-performing professional like you, now does it?

How You Can Help

With an outstanding vision and a team full of A-Players, things are constantly changing around here and, as such, you’ll need to as well.  But that’s no problem for a proactive, self-starting, multi-tasker like you. You like a good challenge and no detail escapes your attention, so you’ll do well working with our HR Team to review and upgrade our current HR and Office-Admin processes and procedures to make life easier for everyone from our CEO in Boulder to our housekeepers in Maui.

How Else?

  • Get ready to make your mark as you help organize and integrate multiple, geographically dispersed teams throughout Hawaii, California, Florida, Wyoming, Utah, & Colorado.
  • You’ll report directly to the VP of HR and be responsible for helping oversee and complete a wide range of general HR and office administration activities like employee relations, benefits administration, recruiting, and implementing new procedures and programs.
  • You’ll assist in delivering HR and office-admin services that go above and beyond the needs of our employees and drive overall business success.
  • You’ll take care of all the behind-the-scenes things that keep our operations flowing smoothly, like answering mail, ordering supplies, corresponding with service providers, and coordinating events.
  • Some familiarity with employment law would be a big plus, so you can help us follow all applicable laws, regulations and operating procedures.
  • Being a high-growth company, you’re going to learn a lot with us and will need to have an attitude of “getting it done” that’s not limited to HR or office administration, and will include some financial, banking, party planning and general administrative tasks.

What We Need from You

  • It goes without saying that you’ll need exceptional organizational skills, unrivaled flexibility, and a high level of attention-to-detail to succeed in this role.
  • You’re a people person, and it constantly shows in the way you eloquently communicate and deal with others.
  • We love and embrace technology whenever and wherever it can make our lives easier, so the more familiarity you have with products and services like Microsoft Excel, WordPress, and Podio, the better you’ll fit our mold.
  • You’ll work mostly at a computer in our office in downtown Boulder, but you’ll also need to get around town to run errands and to move office furniture, shipping boxes, and other heavy items, so you’ll need a valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • You could be asked to handle sensitive tasks, so trustworthiness and reliability need to be stalwarts of your character.
  • If you’re an upperclassman who’s pursuing a degree in the business realm, you’ll definitely have a leg-up on other candidates.

How We Can Help You

Allow us to be upfront: we’re looking for someone who will make a full-time commitment to this part-time position.  As such, the successful candidate must have the availability to work 20 hours a week for four full months.  With that said, you take care of your part, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Perks include:

  • $13-per-hour
  • EcoPass
  • Potential to create a full-time position for yourself in the future.
  • Best of all: we are a passionate, well-backed company that’ll give you bountiful experience in a plethora of areas with potential to define a position for after the internship period.
