THE OPPORTUNITY

As Vivian's VP People, you will be responsible for partnering closely with our CEO, as well as leaders across the company, to attract, develop, and retain the best talent. This role combines building our team (recruiting) with the responsibility to own the full lifecycle of our employees (human resources). 

This position would be broken down into four main functions; Talent Acquisition and Recruiting (35%), Culture and Employee Experience (35% of role), Professional Development (20%), and HR (10%).

This position is a great opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the People Team, including hiring, developing compensation strategy, enhancing remote work culture, onboarding new employees, promoting diversity and inclusion efforts, and building out a team of equally passionate human resources and recruiting professionals to support you and the company as a whole.

Our company is only as good as our people, and this role is fundamental to developing the talent and culture we need to achieve our goals - particularly in the current remote work environment.

 

THE TEAM

You will be one of the first employees on the People team and will work directly with the CEO, Chief of Staff, and entire executive team to set strategy around hiring and HR needs. You will collaborate with department heads and people managers on hiring needs. Vivian is ambitious, scrappy, and rapidly growing. We expect the People Team to continue to grow.

 

ABOUT YOU

You have experience working both in recruiting and HR, and you are excited about tackling challenges in both functions. You are equally excited about operating on a team of zero (just you) to a team of 10+ (a fully-staffed People Team) - and you are able to help build that team. You have the ability to shift gears quickly from high level strategy to tactical work on a frequent basis. You are comfortable working with minimal direction and you hold yourself accountable. You are passionate about company culture, performance, feedback and helping cultivate growth.

 

THE SKILL SET

  • 10+ years of experience in HR/recruiting, 2+ as a manager
  • Proven track record of hiring and retaining exceptional talent
  • Strong relationship building skills with hiring managers
  • Ability to recruit on highly technical positions and executive positions
  • Designed and implemented systems to manage performance reviews
  • Developed compensation strategies
  • Led and managed recruiting systems and HR efforts
  • Built and managed teams in HR / recruiting 
  • Built and led scalable talent management functions, including recruiting, onboarding and employee development
  • Led diversity and inclusion efforts

Vivian Heath's Denver office currently sits in a WeWork in the RiNo neighborhood close to restaurants and several breweries. Close I-70 and Lightrail.
