Position Description
The Training Specialist is responsible for building and enhancing the competencies of the new employees on KPA’s sales team. The objectives of the Training Specialist include developing and fine tuning the training resource library, onboarding new sales team hires, building and implementing trainings, and continuously evaluating the effectiveness of our sales training program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses of the current program
- Translate requirements into trainings that will groom employees for the next step of their career path
- Own the onboarding and training process for new Sales hires, acclimating new hires to KPA’s business by conduct orientation sessions
- Develop and oversee the production of training resources including instructional materials, aids, manuals, personas, and other internal resources.
- Deliver structured learning experiences, soliciting feedback and measuring results
- Assess training effectiveness to ensure taught skills are being incorporated into working behaviors
- Stay up to date on new trends and tools in employee development
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in designing training events or programs in a corporate setting, ideally related to sales.
- Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
- Ability to master the training cycle – Conception, implementation, execution, and evaluation
- Experience delivering a successful onboarding experience for new hires
- Sound understanding of learning management software platforms
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques
- Ability to effectively present and communicate complex topics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software like Salesforce, and an ability to pick up new technologies quickly
- Ideally having a degree in Education, Training, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or related field
Compensation:
- Annual salary range between $55-75k
- Bonus potential up to 10% annually
KPA Office/Event Attendance and COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
Daily office attendance is currently optional for all employees. Each office will be open for those seeking the opportunity to return to the office. Team meetings and events will be held in both KPA Offices and outside of KPA Offices where employee attendance will be expected.
For all KPA office sites, events and meetings, any employee attending, even temporarily, must be fully vaccinated with at least fourteen (14) days following their final vaccine. The final vaccine is defined as a second dose for Pfizer or Moderna, or the first dose of Johnson and Johnson.
