We're a seasonal business that moves a lot of merch. As our company grows exponentially this time of year, we need someone who knows the ins and outs of HR (except we call it Employee Experience here because it's way less terrible)  to help support our fulfillment center in Denver, CO. We need someone who's versed in seasonality, the nuances of employment law, who's comfortable with difficult conversations, and who's passionate about people in general.

You'll work closely with the Director of Experience in the Boulder location, but you'll own the employee experience operation in our Denver fulfillment center. More accurately, here's what some of your responsibilities would look like:

Responsibilities:

  • Administer new hire orientation and onboarding of new employees and ensure all new hire paperwork is completed and processed.
  • Input employee information accurately into payroll system.
  • Manage and maintain attendance system to capture and report hourly employee work time; coordinate with appropriate manager/supervisors to ensure accuracy and obtain approvals.
  • Coordinate the placement of temporary employees and report hours worked with leadership.
  • Maintain employee files in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. Responsible for creating, maintaining, storing, securing and destroying employee records.
  • Process new hires, terminations, status changes.
  • Complete verification of employment and state unemployment information requests.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts by preparing job postings; forwarding resumes for open positions to the appropriate manager and set up interviews based on manager feedback.
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties including scanning, copying, printing, processing paperwork, and proofreading/editing documents, completing/drafting correspondence and reports..
  • Assist with planning and coordinating employee meetings, events, training,  communications.
  • Assist with various special projects as necessary.
  • Perform other related administrative duties as required.
  • Managing employee scheduling of seasonal workforce to ensure it meets our operational, working closely with the Manager, Distribution Center
  • Brainstorming hiring, retention strategies to ensure employee morale is at a high
  • Lead safety measures alongside distribution center leadership

 

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in HR support role with equivalent experience warehouse operations
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations and ability to handle sensitive and confidential material
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple requests and tasks
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    Physical Demands:
  • Able to withstand moderate physical activity (standing, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.).
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25-30 lbs on occasion (document boxes, files, binders, and other items)
  • Able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
  • Able to work overtime
