Reporting to the Director of Technical Recruiting, you will guide and scale a team to source and hire elite candidates across a variety of technical roles within Engineering, Product, and Security. As a player-coach, you will be responsible for communicating the Checkr story and value proposition to candidates, while ensuring your team is effectively sourcing and guiding candidates through our hiring process. You are driven, eager, and able to develop lasting relationships with both candidates and hiring managers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the recruiting team meets hiring needs across multiple departments
  • Mentor, guide, and grow the careers of all members of the Technical Recruiting team
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and executives to understand hiring needs and define requirements
  • Act as a key business partner to Checkr leadership to improve recruiting processes across business units
  • Develop unique sourcing strategies to surface top passive candidates
  • Organize and facilitate interview debriefs, helping to guide and drive decision making
  • Create and maintain an amazing candidate experience
  • Attend recruiting events as necessary

What you bring:

  • 5+ years of in-house recruiting experience
  • 2+ years of mentorship experience
  • Experience working with C staff to fill executive searches
  • Comfortable partnering with senior leadership and management teams on hiring initiatives
  • Strong sourcing ability and a diverse bag of tricks
  • Passion for elite candidate experience
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers
  • Broad understanding of general HR requirements
