About the role

We are currently on the lookout for a Talent Experience Manager to lead a small, high performing talent acquisition in team in the US. You'll be responsible for developing and executing the talent acquisition strategy and engaging with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure Xero attracts, assesses and engages outstanding talent.

In owning great hiring outcomes, you will coach, support and develop a geographically dispersed team, own the delivery of our EVP, branding and events, develop sourcing and recruiting strategies targeting active and passive candidates, evolve our talent pooling capabilities and work with local and global teams to refine and continuously improve our talent experience function.

What you'll bring

  • Experience leading a talent acquisition/recruitment team to deliver outstanding hiring outcomes
  • Great leadership qualities combined with a willingness to 'stay on the tools' in hiring for senior/leadership positions
  • A track record in establishing credibility with executive teams and influencing diverse stakeholder groups

As an ERG leader, Christina Rowe does more than schedule events. “My role involves listening to the needs of group members regarding career development, community and more,” she said. Through her ERG involvement, Rowe has gained a greater understanding of her peers’ diverse life experiences and skill sets while fostering dialogue related to topics that are often avoided in the workplace, such as women’s health. “It’s been a great way to help other women grow their careers and create a safe space for hard conversations,” she said.

Not only has she grown personally due to this role, but it’s also encouraged her to engage with other engineering teams in an effort to better understand her peers’ needs. She’s currently helping plan an event that will enable Indigenous people to share their unique stories with others in the company.

For instance, he recently took part in a scoping session in order to develop a road map for diverse hiring practices.
