The Talent Development Manager will manage various talent and training initiatives to align with our commitment to invest, engage, develop and retain our employees. The role will drive the development and execution of centralizing our people, manager, leadership, and critical competencies and skills development programs, learning and content management, and career pathing to help foster a high performing learning culture that nurtures the professional, personal, and career growth of our employees.
Responsibilities include creating, facilitating, and leading training virtually, in-person, hybrid, and video-recorded training sessions, establishing and managing the rollout for manager essentials training, and delivering scalable talent and learning programs. This role will collaborate with all levels of the organization and across functions globally to drive talent strategy and meet business objectives.
Responsibilities
Provide talent and development opportunities to attract and retain exceptional talent, advance skills, and supports individualized career paths to prepare Zayoites for their next role within the organization
Create and facilitate training that provides people managers the essential skills they need in their new role and tools to coach, engage and develop their employees
Develop virtual, in-person, hybrid, and video-recorded training, job aides, and discussion sessions
Identify competencies required for roles and levels within the organization and map to training courses
Implement evaluation strategy to demonstrate effectiveness and impact of training on the business and make recommendations for enhancements
Define key performance indicators by developing metrics for core programs and processes, and track delivery against program objectives
Partner on talent programs such as succession planning, performance management, mentoring and career journeys
Support a leadership development program to help our future leaders and current top talent prepare for future leadership skills, responsibilities, and challenges to increase organizational agility and drive strategic execution
Conduct train-the-trainer sessions
Collaborate with cross-functional training leads to ensure resources, training, materials, and communication is aligned
Partner with the HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to facilitate the transition, education, and sponsorship of talent development programs and strategies
Plan and communicate clearly and in advance of all required training for the organization
Review and improve upon current programs to help us evolve and scale the business
Consult with external sources on talent management solutions and best practices
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in training/learning/leadership development, human resources, organization development or similar role
Experience with e-learning platforms, and training content organization
Track record of designing and implementing impactful learning and development programs
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills across the all levels of the organization including executives, with virtual facilitation experience. Presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, well-organized and engaging manner.
Proficient in Google and MS Office suite of tools with emphasis on PowerPoints, & Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Calendar is required; Knowledge of Salesforce.com platform and Workday is a plus
Exceptional written and oral communication skills and possess strong content writing ability and creativity
In-depth knowledge of leadership and organizational development best practices and the latest insights
Strong critical thinking, adaptability to change, analytical, strategic, collaborative, and project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate, build relationships, and manage well at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex projects, balance and respond to competing priorities and see priorities through from inception through completion
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, using date and metrics to drive improvements and communicating results to senior leadership
Comfortable managing ambiguity and being resourceful
The ability to lead others in implementing change
Base salary range: $96,100 - 106,800/annually
