What You’ll Do

The Learning and Development Senior Manager is responsible for leading and owning the formal training programs, systems, tools, and resources for SurveyGizmo inclusive of leadership, content creation and delivery, training program, and other emerging needs from the organization. The Senior Manager reports to the Vice President of Customer Success and will lead a team of training and learning professionals.
You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in instructional design, adult learning, organizational development and project management
  • Experience designing custom learning programs using alternative delivery methods.
  • Willingness to travel- less than 10%

 

How You’ll Spend Your Days

  • Building and delivering Training program, curriculum, and course design, delivery, and measurement
  • Develop and rolling our the SurveyGizmo Learning Management System (LMS) strategy and technology, this includes LMS governance, future strategy, and content creation/ delivery
  • Oversight of annual required training calendar and global customer learning events
  • E-learning and Learning Management System vendor identification, selection, and management
  • Intake and assessment of emerging customer and organizational training needs and development of recommended solutions
  • Light touch consulting on adult learning theory, instructional design, and training delivery principles and best practices
  • Learning and Development team skill building in instructional design and facilitation
  • Partnership with Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales teams to understand emerging needs, customer requests, and internal training programs
  • Management and development of a small team
  • Budget, capacity, and demand management for customer training needs
  • Other duties as assigned


What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Prior experience designing and delivering leadership development training programs
  • Advanced e-learning and content design
  • Experience of adult learning theory, instructional design principles and practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal and peer relationship building skills
  • A track record of and a passion for developing others, both one’s own team, the organization as a whole, as well as our customers
  • Demonstrates strong self-awareness and internally motivated self-development
  • Effective project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations
  • Prior experience leading a small team with accountability for the organization’s learning management system (LMS)
  • Working knowledge of change management best practices
