Zayo is seeking a Sr Manager, Human Resources Operations to be the leader of the HR Operations team, working closely with HR stakeholders and cross functional teams in providing analysis and insight that drive action and HR strategy. In your role, you will have the ability to continually consider and incorporate process changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR. You will partner with cross-functional internal partners and managers at all levels to design user friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation within our HR systems. This position will report directly to the VP of Global Human Resources.
The Sr Manager, HR Operations leads a team that responds to inquiries on topics including but not limited to: Zayo guidelines, HR systems and data, immigration, audits and reporting (EEO, AAP, etc),. The role organizes others to perform research to achieve problem resolution. Problems faced are difficult and may be complex. The role is responsible for managing HR Operations employees at all levels, including HR Employee Relations Manager and HR Operations Specialists who focus on policy and Workday management actions who ensure policies, practices, & procedures are understood and followed by Zayo management and employees.
Responsibilities
Manage and train members of the HR Operations team.
Provide functional support to peers and direct reports as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one or more HR Operations functions.
Understand and utilize performance metrics and reporting to identify improvement opportunities for team performance.
Manage and be accountable for the HR email inbox as the first point of contact and cascade information as needed.
Partner with HR and the business to understand and define business problems and issues, analyzing data and presenting insights that drive decisions on HR system usage and process improvement opportunities within HR Operations.
Workday System Knowledge; understanding how to convert functional design needs into system design, documentation and reporting.
Partner with Zayo’s internal audit team for annual audits.
Partner with external vendor for Affirmative Action reporting, EEO-1 reporting, etc.
Understand end-to-end process and underlying data sources to identify data inconsistencies and make recommendations to improve data integrity.
Summarize insights and present findings to a range of audiences at all levels within the organization.
Perform regular assessments and improvements to the HR Operations team, including, but not limited to, system enhancements and usage; continually identify opportunities to innovate and create better processes and systems solutions, focusing on driving efficiencies within the HR organization.
Receive, understand and respond to difficult employee and/or HR Business Partner inquiries related to various functions of HR Operations including but not limited to, hiring, compensation, separations, etc. .
Compile, organize and submit advanced data reports relating to HR Operations functions.
Qualifications
At least 3 years’ experience in a management capacity working with Human Capital Management (HCM) systems and reporting solutions specifically in Workday.
Exhibit strong leadership qualities and the ability to influence employees within multiple levels of the organization.
Operate efficiently between multiple computer applications; to include Workday, as well as proficiency with the Google Suite, and other applications.
Excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written/oral communication, customer service skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Strong attention to detail.
Flexibility to adapt to changing business situations and effective problem-solving capabilities
Aptitude for learning new technologies and trends. Self-starter with ability to work with little direction and produce results.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree or higher strongly preferred; Three (3) or more combined years of experience in human resources and supervisory or management experience required.
Base salary range: $95-115k
