Healthcare is complicated. But it doesn't have to be. Alto's mission is to fulfill medicine's true purpose—to improve the quality of life for everyone who needs it. We are a modern pharmacy changing the way people manage and fill their prescriptions with a patient-centric, technology-driven online pharmacy. Alto provides same-day, free delivery, seven days a week for prescriptions. More importantly, we offer cost transparency, personalized mobile support, and real-time coordination with doctors and insurance companies.

Getting medicine to everyone who needs it involves a dizzying number of moving parts. We aim to make every aspect of that experience as safe, seamless, and delightful as humanly possible. That's why we're committed to fixing a broken pharmacy industry and enhancing the quality of life for others.

We recently raised our Series C, surpassed 200 employees across four locations, and are on track to achieve $300M ARR by the end of 2019. Our journey is just beginning, and we welcome you to join us in building a better pharmacy experience for all who need it, everywhere.

One of the many exciting challenges we're tackling is rapidly growing our team across multiple disciplines and geographies. We're strengthening our Talent Acquisition team by hiring a talented sourcer to help us drive high-volume growth on our business operations teams.

Within your 1st month, you will shadow our Pharmacy Operations, Patient Care, Fulfillment, Engineering/Product and People Teams to understand Alto from every perspective. You will also closely partner with the wider TA team to learn the ins-and-outs of our recruiting process, shadow candidate interviews and debriefs, and champion Alto's candidate journey. By your 2nd month, you will fully ramped on sourcing for roles on our pharmacy and fulfillment teams. By your 3rd month, you'll have sourced multiple hires, contribute to best practices on the TA team, and help Alto continue our rapid growth!

Other duties will include partnering with recruiters and hiring managers to craft the sourcing strategy for growing our operations teams. You will grow diverse and inclusive teams and be extremely passionate about candidate experience.

Advance your career as you:

  • Help us hire our next 50+ Altoids
  • Partner with business operation leaders to understand their open roles, set hiring priorities, and develop a sourcing strategy.
  • Build and engage pipeline of skilled talent through creative sourcing efforts
  • Advise leaders on candidate trends and provide insight regarding Alto's position as an attractive employer
  • Partner with our recruiting coordinators, hiring managers and hiring teams to deliver an exceptional candidate experience

We're looking for you to have:

  • 2+ years of experience sourcing for high-volume operations roles
  • A keen desire to experiment on the best ways to connect with passive job seekers
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams within an ATS

It would be even better if you have:

  • Agency and/or startup experience within the tech, digital health or healthcare/pharma industries
  • Experience running metrics and creating data visualizations
  • A demonstrable passion for building an inclusive and representative workplace that mirrors our equally inclusive and diverse customer base

An Insider's view of Alto Pharmacy

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

Work/life balance is definitely encouraged at Alto! I never have to think about work on my weekends, and my boss has even reminded me that I haven't taken a vacation day in a while and to be sure to use some or take a long weekend.

Scott Carmichael

Software Engineer, Infrastructure

What projects are you most excited about?

I am excited about empowering our data scientists to perform both ad-hoc and repeatable analysis using our Snowflake data warehouse (loaded via dbt + Airflow). Our business users are leveraging the same reliable data sources to gain insights via Looker. Most rewarding: we are actively using data in our mission to fulfill medicine’s true purpose.

Doug

Software Engineer, Data Engineering

How does the company support your career growth?

Alto enables me to work on projects I find interesting and technically engaging. I’ve been able to work on a variety of projects ranging from integrating our pharmacy management software with external EHR systems to setting up a modern data infrastructure from scratch.

Le Qi

Software Engineer, Data Engineering

What is your vision for the company?

It’s really easy to assume that Alto Pharmacy just delivers medications, but it goes beyond this when you have patients who are bed bound or who don’t know how to navigate the medical field by themselves. We support you in navigating this tricky realm, we ensure that adherence is more feasible, and the healthcare experience is transparent.

Gloria

Patient Care Lead
