The Senior Corporate Recruiter attracts and hires mid-level to Executive level talent within a variety of Business and Corporate teams with a focus on Insurance related functions. As a full-time Senior Business Recruiter working across the organization, you will have a direct and enormous impact on Pie's ability to scale our business with exceptional fellow Pie-oneers. In this role, you will be a face of Pie with our candidates, in the Denver, DC and National talent market.
How You'll Do It
Manage full-cycle recruiting process

    • Develop strategies to identify, attract and engage with the best talent with a focus on passive candidate outreach and innovative sourcing strategies.
    • Collaborate with the People Partner to determine the best offer.
    • Leverage a good understanding of corporate areas with an emphasis on insurance functions and how they work together.


Candidate Management

    • Probe, negotiate and gather the right information in order to effectively close candidates with little to no guidance.
    • Proactive vs reactive - knows when to ask for what they need and knows what they need to ask for.


Client Management

    • Partner with hiring teams to understand their organizational objectives and drive hiring plans to achieve them.
    • Partner with Executives, Leaders, Business Recruiting Lead and the Director of Talent to create and distribute across our job posting platforms and social media.
    • Coach hiring managers and guide them throughout the recruiting process.
    • Be the subject matter expert and resource for hiring partners.
    • Develop strong relationships and partnerships with client groups.
    • Manage the kick-off, interview panel and debrief session.


Team Contributions

    • Contribute to improved team productivity.
    • Actively participate in team member training including recruiting process review and training, systems and tools training, organization and department overviews and knowledge sharing.
    • Regularly develop and drive process improvements that improve team and function efficiency.
    • Effectively manage an increasing workload capacity including high volume and/or high complexity.


Project Work

    • Support talent branding, external events and project work that continues to develop and enhance Pie's recruitment and brand development.


The Right Stuff

    • At least 5 years of full life cycle recruiting experience required, a minimum of 7 years experience preferred.
    • Experience recruiting across multiple departments including corporate and insurance functions. Think Audit, Claims, Underwriting, Business Development, Sales.
    • Minimum of 6 months experience recruiting in a start-up environment preferred.
    • Experience working in InsurTech is an added plus.
    • Experience with G-Suite, Lever and/or Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter
    • Strong communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, to deliver complex information effectively and align people with the needs of the project/team.
    • Intermediate problem solving skills to be able to manage complex tasks and work through to solutions with little guidance and direction.
    • Ability to manage and navigate moderately complex recruiting situations with stakeholders and candidates is required.
    • Demonstrated ability to articulate the employee value proposition to candidates and write a compelling pitch email to prospective candidates, required.
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with some college coursework is preferred.

Compensation Range for position: $128,000 - $162,000
Each year Pie reviews company performance and may grant discretionary bonuses to eligible team members.
