Position Summary

Invitae is looking for a talented Project Manager to join the Operational Excellence Team. You will be the project owner and ensure a smooth, timely implementation of core Workday modules. A main responsibility will be to lead design efforts while working cross-functionally with multiple partners. This role will also run ongoing projects and helping to build on our people analytics foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Works with clients and direct report(s) to understand strategic objectives related to HR technology including employee experience, business processes, data strategy, and service delivery
  • Lead process design efforts by guiding clients to define outcomes and work backward to define the process and user touchpoints
  • Build strategies to drive adoption of Workday and related technology initiatives
  • Develop comprehensive plans for business process updates to improve employee experience, including creation of new CRs or other IT projects to meet goals
  • Use Operational Excellence processes as needed to facilitate ongoing process improvement activities
  • Find opportunities to influence Workday’s future release content to help close existing gaps for business and meet future strategic goals
  • Extraordinary human capital management, including the ability to perform sophisticated analytics on our Human Capital to ensure risks are mitigated for critical positions, talent movement is occurring within the organization and opportunities exist
  • Build and lead a team of HRIS analysts ensuring the team is productive, engaged, and growing in their career

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years experience leading through multiple HRIS implementations
  • PMP, PMI or similar project management certification
  • Strong Program Management knowledge and the need to meet results and timing
  • Solid ability to convert product/process information into alternatives, recommendations and ultimately drive for decisions
  • Able to deal with ambiguity but drive clarity to cross functional team members
  • A passion and desire to think outside of the box, communicate effectively, collaborate cross-functionally and influence without authority.
  • Develop and communicate a strategic perspective (“big picture”)

Preferred

  • Workday, Oracle, or similar HRIS experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience supporting a team
