Guild is hiring a Principal Recruiter. As a Principal Recruiter, play a meaningful role in building our executive & board level team. Partner with our leadership team to identify and hire some of the world’s most hardworking leaders who are helping upskill America’s workforce. We are looking for a highly talented recruiter to help with our aggressive Director & leadership hiring goals within G2M, Sales and G&A.

In addition to partnering within the recruiting leadership team, in this role you will collaborate with other Guild leaders including: Rachel Carlson, CEO & Co-Founder, Paul Freedman, President, Learning Marketplace, Mike McDonald, VP Talent, and Lorna Hagen, Chief People Officer, and President and Chief Commercial Officer, Natalie McCullough.

As Principal Recruiter you will:

  • Advise the highest levels of management about internal processes; mentors junior and senior staff in navigating process questions; may lead functional overhauls or resets of processes related to hiring, organizational management, hiring manager engagement or company-wide recruiting tools
  • Champions DE&I standard methodologies in all aspects of recruiting
  • Viewed as a key partner in workforce planning conversations; brings a deep, informed view of market data; partners with ELT, SLT, senior HR team on most sophisticated offer scenarios.
  • May own end-to-end functional expertise in one or more systems; guide metrics tracking project or activities from a functional perspective (in partnership with systems specialists); lead or advise organizational change for recruiting and business processes as they relate to systems or processes
  • May train recruiters or managers in crafting a compelling job description, creating templates for intake meetings or job profiling tools
  • With sourcing partner or individually, crafts, executes and measures multiple sophisticated sourcing plans. May train junior staff in sourcing strategies and standard methodologies. Supports Executive Search level sourcing plans and hires.
  • Uses deep organizational knowledge and broad-based company relationships to influence most senior executives in hiring decisions; brings unique data and insights to hiring decisions; is able to prioritize the importance of diverse sets of feedback to reach a fair, beneficial hiring decision.
  • Mentors junior and senior staff in managing sophisticated candidate scenarios; may own functional goals to systematize or improve company's candidate management experience.
  • Mentors junior and senior staff in networking standard methodologies and initiatives; may own functional goals to partner with multiple departments to improve company's networking and employment brand initiatives.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Solid experience recruiting and closing top talent executive level talent
  • Ability to be a subject matter authority and advise at the executive level
  • Proficient at navigating critical conversations at every level
  • Experience in working with & influencing DE&I standard methodologies within Executive Level recruiting
  • An ability to work in an environment where priorities change as we learn
  • A love for the all-hands-on-deck feel of a startup—no task too big or too small
  • Shown executive level recruiting experience with a proven track record of sourcing and closing top-tier talent in a competitive environment
  • Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and CMS

Total compensation for this role is market driven, including a base salary range of $175,000-$208,750 and bonus/variable compensation eligibility, as well as company stock options.
