Accelo is looking for an experienced, empathetic and results-oriented senior HR professional to join our People Operations team at a fast growing SaaS startup! Working closely with a small direct team and in strong partnership with other people leaders in the business, this person will support rapidly-growing teams and drive continuous improvement for the culture and people of the organization. This is a great opportunity if you are someone with true-hands-on HR experience, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and who is looking to grow your career in HR Management.

The ideal person will be someone who has strong soft-skills to work incredibly well with people up and down the organization providing solutions that align with our core values, and will be experienced and adept at engaging with a wide diversity of individuals - our multi-national team includes citizens of more than 15 countries!

Responsibilities 

  • Identify & implement ways to make all aspects of the employee lifecycle a delightful and supportive experience, from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between

  • Oversee Accelo's talent acquisitions efforts, including some full life cycle recruiting and various employer brand initiatives

  • Research and reinforce best practices that drive team engagement and retention, with a focus on team member feedback, culture and capability development

  • Manage HR-related inquiries with sensitivity to the urgency and relevance of requests, set appropriate expectations on response time, and respond to employees with exceptional customer service

  • Manage and resolve complex people relations issues and areas of compliance from a legal/employment perspective

  • Maintain HR information systems records including new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations; audit systems for accuracy and compile reports and data as needed

  • Coordinate with Payroll on compensation-related changes and issues, and provide support when necessary

  • Propose, lead and coordinate activities relating to employee benefits and leave of absence administration

  • Provide solid human resources needs in areas such as performance management, employee relations, compensation, career development and leadership development and drive the appropriate solutions in these areas 

  • Explore, recommend, and implement new approaches, policies and procedures to make continual improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of Accelo's HR operations

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations concerning employment

What we’re looking for 

  • Typically, 6+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience

  • Excellent leadership skills with an ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively while dealing with multiple people, teams, projects, and priorities

  • Ability to relate to, influence and coach employees at all levels in the organization 

  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally and discreetly with confidential information

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, rapidly changing environments, and occasionally building from scratch

  • Customer-centric, building strong working relationships with employees, managers and external parties

  • Able to demonstrate empathy toward employees and serve as their trusted resource

  • Self-driven, always prioritizing and focusing your efforts appropriately on what matters most - our People

  • Detail-oriented, taking pride in the quality and accuracy of your work

  • Proficiency in Google Apps, MS-Office software, and HRIS technology

Bonus Points

  • Current certification as PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP

  • An advanced HR degree
