As the Office Manager, you will fulfill the role of office guru and wearer-of-all-hats for our Techstars' Boulder office. You will be responsible for helping coordinate the entire office atmosphere and driving company culture. You will serve as the go-to resource for all office needs and will work to ensure connection between the Boulder office and Techstars 18+ locations around the globe. You will be the face of the Techstars Boulder serving as the first point of contact with candidates, staff, and guests. You are outgoing, personable and highly organized. You're the type of person that gives first, takes ownership and consistently looks for ways to improve productivity.
 
Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day reception, office upkeep and event coordination for the Techstars Boulder office (office supplies, day-to-day maintenance and procurement of office and IT equipment, mail, etc)
  • Proactively and effectively manage conference room schedules and technology
  • Manage the office budget and ensure that we don’t exceed budget for the year
  • Manage vendor relationships and foster a more functional office space through planning, process, and communication
  • Plan & execute staff events like holiday parties, happy hours, #GiveBack days and StaffCon
  • Facilitate communication and travel across different teams and departments into Boulder and other locations to optimize integration and knowledge share
  • Act as cultural leader for all our employees -  take action on creative ways to improve morale and interconnectedness
  • Responsible for the Regional Ambassador program and ensuring that the goals of the program are being met
  • Collaborate with the People Ops team to implement and improve hire onboarding and orientation
  • Support the Boulder entrepreneurial ecosystem by attending and hosting community events on behalf of Techstars

Desired Skills

  • Tenacious and enthusiastic about Techstars organization and culture
  • Highly ambitious, organized and self-directed
  • Comfortable dealing with shifting priorities (reception can be quite interrupt-driven) and maintaining a spirit of service
  • Event planning or community building experience is a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to pitch in wherever necessary
  • Anticipates daily challenges before they arise and is planful about solutions
  • Experience working with remote teams or communicating as part of a highly distributed team
  • Experience with video conferencing systems (Blue Jeans), Microsoft Office Suite, Google apps and familiarity with various SaaS platforms
  • 3-5 years providing administrative support, ideally as a receptionist, in a fast-paced business environment
  • Experience with IT support or event planning for a growing organization is a major plus
