We are seeking a Manager, Talent Acquisition Business Partner to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.
What you get to do:
The Manager, Talent Acquisition Business Partner will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting candidates to support our North America operations. This is not a 'recruiting' job, rather we are business partners with our clients and coaches to our candidates. Uplight's recruiting process is collaborative. Your hiring leaders are incredibly focused on finding the best person for the role and for their teams. This position enables Uplight to increase the speed at which we are able to respond to business demand. We're interested in your passion for affecting people's lives in a positive way.
As a Manager, you will attract and hire talent at all levels from individual contributors to leadership. Your top priority is to scale highly effective recruiting processes. You will do this by driving sourcing and recruiting strategy, and partnering with the leadership of all functions, especially Engineering and Product, as a trusted subject matter expert. You will also be a trusted partner to our Director of Talent and a helpful and supportive colleague to the talent team providing mentoring and insights to less experienced recruiters.
What you will contribute:

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting process
  • Build strong relationships with technical stakeholders across the organization.
  • Engage in complex or high-stakes negotiations with hiring managers, people managers, and applicants, while managing compensation expectations and complex salary negotiations.
  • Mentor less experienced recruiters
  • Prioritize building a diverse team at every step of the recruiting process, ensuring our top-of-funnel efforts and interviews provide candidates of all backgrounds with equal, unbiased consideration and opportunity.
  • Help develop innovative strategies to streamline the recruiting process, and improve the candidate experience.
  • Candidate Management
    • Develop strategies to identify, attract and engage with the best talent with a focus on passive candidate outreach and innovative sourcing strategies.
    • Manage candidate flow through our ATS, Jobvite
    • Collaborate with the People Partner to determine the best offer
    • Recruit candidates whose values are aligned with Uplight's values and corporate culture.
    • Provide all Uplight prospects and candidates with a world-class experience
    • Understand the candidate's needs to present a market competitive offer with candidate expectations in mind
  • Client Management
    • Partner with hiring teams to understand their organizational objectives and drive hiring plans to achieve them
    • Coach hiring managers and guide them throughout the recruiting process.
    • Be the subject matter expert and resource for hiring partners
    • Develop strong relationships and partnerships with client groups
    • Manage the kick-off, interview panel, and debrief session
  • Actively participate in team member training including recruiting process review and training, systems and tools training, organization and department overviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Regularly develop and drive process improvements that improve team and function efficiency.
  • Project Work
    • Supports talent brand, external events, and project work that continues to develop and enhance Uplight's recruitment and brand development


What you bring to Uplight:

  • 8 years or more years of experience with full lifecycle recruiting required, and at least 2 years of experience working as a senior or lead recruiter
  • 2 years of experience recruiting internally for a high growth tech company is required
  • Experience with ATS's and some background with researching and implementing ATS's is required
  • Experience with common sourcing tools, like LinkedIn Recruiter, is required
  • Expertise at building trust and great working relationships with recruiting teammates and hiring managers
  • The ability to manage and navigate complex recruiting situations with stakeholders and candidates is required
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate the employee value proposition to a candidate and write a compelling pitch email to prospective candidates is required
  • Strong technical acumen around technology, software development languages, and tools is required

Salary Range: $112,800 to $125,000
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
