Position: Manager, Learning and Development
The Manager of Learning and Development will lead the learning and development function for JumpCloud. To begin the successful candidate will conduct assessments to determine priorities of training opportunities that will meet the short and long term goals of JumpCloud. They will be able to both design and deliver training to team members and customers of JumpCloud as well as training the trainer on curriculum that is focused on the strategic execution of our business plan.
For our internal audiences they will ensure successful execution of current training and development programs such as New Hire Orientation, Functional Bootcamps, Continuous Learning, and Manager Training. For our external audiences they will assure a better jump-start of the relationship with JumpCloud for new customers and that we have a solid offering and delivery of training options driving an increased level of customer satisfaction, adoption and retention for established customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designs, plans, and implements corporate training programs, policies, and procedures through various platforms (classroom, webinars, virtual).
- Consults with senior leadership, department heads, and managers, as needed, to assess the needs of staff and customers and develop programs to correspond to those needs.
- Researches new training techniques and suggests enhancements to existing training programs to meet the changing needs of the organization as well as changes to the JumpCloud platform.
- Contracts with vendors for employee participation in outside training programs.
- Assesses the success of learning and development programs to ensure learning comprehension, knowledge retention, and incorporating behaviors that ensure employees and customers make the most of learning opportunities.
- Develop and maintain course curriculum and distribute education support materials such as training handbooks, manuals, handouts, visual aids, course exams, and evaluation forms utilizing a variety of media to accompany learning sessions.
- Train assigned instructors and management on effective techniques for training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- 3+ years of professional training experience.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and deliver training programs utilizing skills in instructional design, program design & development and training technologies
- Strong project management skill set, nimble and able to balance multiple and conflicting priorities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Experience with LMS and learning portal technologies.
- Analytical, process improvement, and planning skills.
