Learning & Development Manager
Overview
We are looking for an innovator in the learning and development space to create and manage custom experiences that meet the needs of our growing organization. In this role, you should be passionate about helping people learn, develop and grow. Excellent communication skills are essential. Ultimately, you will help our company succeed by developing our global workforce and leadership.
Responsibilities
* Be a thought partner to the HR Business Partners in creating the right type of curriculum to solve for the specific business/team need including suggesting alternative training solutions to better suit the needs of the business i.e. self-service portal, videos, e-learning, etc.
* Scope, design and deliver high quality and impactful learning content that supports a rapidly changing and growing organization
* Project manage learning and development initiatives including coordination of logistics, managing materials and providing a critical eye to ensure content is stage ready
* Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and evaluation following the sessions to continuously improve learning effectiveness
* Evaluate individual and organizational development needs
* Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training)
* Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings
* Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
* Help managers develop their team members through career pathing
* Promotes Learning & Development across the organization to embed a learning culture
* Partner with external vendors to deliver and develop workshops
Qualifications
* 5+ years of directly related experience to include effective leadership; or combination equivalent experience, training, and education
* BS/BA in Business, Psychology or a related field
* PHR or SPHR certification preferred
* Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods including understanding of training trends and best practices
* Familiarity with e-learning platforms and content creation
* An understanding of or eagerness to understand learning needs vary across countries
* A creative perspective and eye for detail
* Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
* Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
* Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
* Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
* A “roll up your sleeves,” resourceful mentality
* Excellent project/program management and organization skills
* Worked with a growing global employee base in a mid-sized company
* Prior time working in technology companies valued
* Leadership development work a plus
