What you'll do:

  • Regularly review and recommend any changes to the strategy that will help Church Community Builder be considered an ‘Employer of Choice’
  • Annually review all benefit plan types and costs to ensure benefits are in alignment with philosophy, strategy, & budget and all federal regulations under ERISA and ACA
  • Lead execution of company benefit plans and offerings
  • Partner with leaders in staffing and recruiting efforts
  • Act as community liaison to build reputation of ‘Employer of Choice’
  • Evaluate and ensure role descriptions are current and properly classified
  • Update some HRIS systems
  • Maintain headcount and other people data analytics, monitor trends in attrition/retainment
  • Own HR orientation and related training
  • Maintain record keeping of associate files 
  • Align and regularly review strategies with current philosophy; update in order to maintain market competitiveness; conduct annual compensation benchmarks/surveys
  • Monitor compensation process to ensure business units remain in alignment to compensation structure
  • Update and record all staff pay changes in ADP and files
  • Actively build relationships with associates as to be seen as a partner in matters of concern with strengthening the employer-associate relationship (are there issues, complaints, satisfaction with role, seek solutions to find resolution, provide guidance)
  • Conduct and document issues and investigations
  • Interpret and respond to associate inquiries regarding company policies, guidelines, and benefits
  • Partner with Head of People Operations in the development and implementation of Talent Development & Performance Management programs
  • Lead, develop, and support all direct reports to further their success and growth in contributing to the fulfillment of the company goals

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or related, required
  • CP or PHR certification required
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws 
  • Strong work ethic and confidentiality skills 
  • Possess 5 years of repeated experience in employment law and/or Human Resource work preferred
  • Willingness to perform a variety of HR tasks from administrative to strategic
