Human Resources Generalist

As HR Generalist at Peaksware, you will help the company achieve its objectives by providing support across a variety of functional areas of Human Resources, with an emphasis on employment processes, employee relations, and learning and development. This position’s impact is significant in that it represents the company’s brand as an employer, influences the makeup of the workforce, and assists with employee engagement.

Peaksware includes MakeMusic, TrainingPeaks, TrainHeroic, and Alfred Music. As HR Generalist you will serve employees across all brands.
As HR Generalist, you will:
- Coordinate communication of various HR policies, procedures, labor laws and standards
- Partner with HR Leadership to respond to employee relations issues, employee complaints and harassment allegations
- Support coordination of employee programs such as performance management, employee development, and talent reviews
- Assist in creating and facilitating learning and development initiatives in partnership with HR Leadership when necessary
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding duties/responsibilities when necessary
- Liaise between employees and Payroll for all payroll-related matters
- Partner with the Benefits Specialist on events such as open enrollment, onsite wellness initiatives, 401k meetings, LOA, etc. when needed
- Conduct exit interviews and compile feedback to roll up to management
- Assist with HR reporting and audits as directed
- Maintain employee personnel files
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Core Competencies:
- HR generalist background with a preferred 1-3 years
- HR Policy: Knowledge of the different processes of the human resources department within an organization such as recruitment, employee relations, and personnel development programs
- Employment Law: Extensive knowledge of employment law
- HRIS Experience & Computing Skills: Adept with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite; experience working with an HRIS (e.g. Paycom)
- Communication: Seeks first to understand; strives for creative problem-solving
- Collaboration: Thrives in a team setting; understands that collaboration can bring about greater success
- Organization: Skilled in planning, organization, and prioritization; highly detail-oriented
- Service Orientation: Actively looks for ways to foster a supportive HR culture
- A sense of humor!
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in Paycom a plus
- PHR Certification desired, but not required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
