A Little About the Role
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for setting, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, procedures, and best practices throughout the organization, and for ensuring HR operations are carried out smoothly and effectively. The person in this role is accountable for all people programs including talent acquisition, total rewards, training & development, employee relations, payroll, and HR compliance and will manage a staff of 5. The HR Director will develop strategies and provide sound advice to management regarding talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and HR compliance.
A thought leader and business partner, the HR Director will work with leaders across the organization to ensure alignment and optimization needed to meet current and future business needs.
Requirements
What you will do
- Oversee a variety of HR programs in areas including compensation, benefits, learning and development, etc.
- Coach, counsel and guide managers regarding employee performance issues
- Drive employee relations strategy to ensure that issues are address and resolved effectively and consistently, involving stakeholders as appropriate
- Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training & development, etc.
- Supervise the work of HR team and provide guidance and mentorship
- Anticipate and resolve litigation risks
- Use data to evaluate situations and make recommendations
- Partner with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations
- Review and recommend changes to people programs and policies
- Serve as a resource for employees and managers
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local legislation
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of HR experience, including three years in an HR leadership position
- Experience supporting multi-site and multi-state offices
- M&A experience preferred
- HR Certification preferred
- Software or technology background preferred
- HR knowledge: local legislation, state and federal
- Ability to communicate effectively and influence change at all levels of the organization
- Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices
- Clear, professional communication skills: verbal and written
- Independent and complex problem solving abilities
- Critical evaluation skills
- Ethical practice and confidentiality
- High level of integrity, judgment, and discretion in handling confidential information
- Employee Relations
- Working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook

Salary
$110,000 - $140,000 DOE + bonus
Location
This position is based in our downtown Denver office. We are currently in a flexible hybrid in-office/remote working model based on local COVID-19 health regulations and business needs. Candidates must be willing and able to work from our downtown Denver office a few days a week.
