AMP Robotics is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner reporting to the Head of Talent and Culture, to focus on the growth and success of the Human Resources Department via building systems and process that scale, ensuring compliance and regulation, and support the business functions respectively with employee matters, headcount planning and other things as is needed and directed by the Head of Talent & Culture. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.
As our Human Resources Business Partner, you will work to:
- Support business unit leadership and management through tactical and strategic projects.
- Work closely with the the Head of Talent & Culture to rollout and support critical Human Resources initiatives ie. employee review and compensation planning, employee benefits and HRIS usage & maintenance.
- Conduct weekly meetings with respective business units.
- Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
- Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Preferred:
- Recycling or similar industry experience.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional. (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

Salary & compensation information: $85,000 - $110,000 based on experience.
Benefits information:
- Medical - The company covers up 85% to 100% of the premium for Cigna healthcare plans depending on the selection. Employees pay the difference in premium if they select a more expensive plan. Up to 75% for dependents.
- 401(k) retirement plan (non-matching).
- Seven (7) paid holidays – 7 company designated and 2 floating holidays. (salaried employees only)
- Referral bonuses for staff positions.
- Paid Vacation Leave – Accrues at a rate of ~4.67 hours (0.58 days) per pay period (2 weeks) starting day 1. Unused PTO carries over each year with a 1-year limit.
- Paid Sick Leave – 64 hours per year, given in full on start date, refreshes on anniversary.
