HR Support
Gusto’s mission is to create a world where work empowers a better life. Our mantra is not only evident through our product experience, but also determines how we operate internally, every single day. To help bring our mission to life, the People Team partners with employees in every department, and the HR Support role is at the helm!
This position is crucial to supporting our employees (Gusties) for all their HR needs. As the frontline support, you’ll answer questions under a wide range of subjects by becoming an expert in onboarding, benefit elections, processing sensitive/personal information, and many other significant events. This is a highly collaborative role as you liaise between Gusties and members of the People Team to ensure the highest level of service is provided.
Gusto helps small businesses by automating complicated tasks and making them simple and delightful. We take the same approach when supporting employees at any stage of their Gusto career. We’re excited to have you join us on this amazing journey in changing the way people think about HR!
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Support all Gusties by becoming a subject matter expert on a wide variety of HR topics
- Triage and answer incoming requests related to job and org. changes, employee data, benefit elections, leave of absence, PTO, background checks, employment verification, etc.
- You’ll answer tier-1 questions while educating Gusties on how to find similar information in the future
- For questions that require a second opinion, you’ll collaborate with other members of the People Team to deliver 5-star support
- Partner closely with members of the People Team to reduce inefficiencies in our HR processes
- Keep Gusties informed by creating and maintaining parts of our internal wiki, ensuring FAQ content is up-to-date + easily accessible
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- 1-2 years work experience. Bonus points for experience in similar HR Admin, Recruiting Coordination, or Customer Service roles
- Organized, efficient and able to prioritize effectively. You enjoy checking things off your to-do list and brainstorming ways in which to become more efficient
- A keen eye for detail. You're always double checking things to ensure the utmost accuracy
- Polished communication and enjoy collaborating with others. You'll be handling sensitive information for those just starting out in their careers, seasoned HR experts, and everyone in between
