The HR Specialist will be a key player in multiple HR areas, from comp and benefits all the way to teammate relations. Are you the “Swiss Army Knife” we’re looking for?

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform new teammate onboarding process which includes creating offer letters, conducting background checks, arranging drug tests, planning orientation, obtaining identity documents, entry into HRIS, providing benefits information, and ensuring the entire process is complete
  • Assist with refining onboarding process and documents
  • Ensure information in payroll and benefits system is current with all new and departing teammate data
  • Assist in the semi-monthly payroll process
  • Be the main point of contact for our teammates regarding benefits, payroll, and policies, and answer other questions they may have
  • Create and send commission/bonus plan documents on a quarterly basis
  • Assist in calculating monthly commissions
  • Assist with implementing training programs
  • Refine internship program and build relationships with local colleges alongside our Talent Acquisition Manager
  • Assist with implementing multiple HR initiatives
  • Provide support to Talent Acquisition as needed
  • Respond to verification of employment and unemployment requests
  • Maintain all teammate files
  • Provide reports and statistics on an ad hoc basis

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in HR
  • Some payroll system experience would be nice
  • Strong interpersonal, oral/written communication, and presentation skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work well with frequent interruptions
  • High level of intellectual curiosity
  • Commitment to working in a "startup" environment where resources and timelines are tight
  • The strong desire to make a positive impact in our teammate’s work experience
