HR Operations and Compliance Specialist/Manager

 

This is a broad role partnering with the all of the functions within the HR Operations team and driving our audit of internal HR processes and documentation in order to identify and implement HR compliance solutions that will focus on process improvement opportunities, reducing risk and leveraging industry best practices

 

Key Responsibilities

Compensation

  • Develop and manage global salary ranges and job structures, support HRBPs with comp analysis and decisions; manage tracking of multiple compensation plans; participate in compensation surveys to analyze company’s competitive position

 

  • Work with compensation team to roll out and support the implementation of all comp programs, projects and initiatives

 

  • Identify opportunities to help improve comp programs, policies and processes to ensure they support business strategy and help drive performance

 

  • Assist with communication and administration of local compensation policies and procedures that are compliant with local and regional laws and regulations

 

Benefits

  • Partner with the Global Benefits Manager by developing strong working knowledge of our benefit plans and systems

 

  • Assist with annual open enrollment activities, responding to employee questions, benefit survey input, etc.

 

HR Operations

 

  • Provide back-up support for onboarding from pre-hire to hire (systems management, NEO, NH training, etc.) and for offboarding employees

 

  • Drive global program efficiency by improving operational processes and procedures

 

Global Mobility

  • Partner with the Global Mobility Manager through developing understanding of policies, processes and practices

 

Compliance

  • Assist in the development, improvement and implementation of human resource policies in compliance with Global, Federal, State and local labor laws to ensure all functions within HR meet the requirements of various employment laws, enterprise compliance and minimize the potential risks for the HR operations by inventorying, assessing, creating, modifying and/or developing compliant policies/procedures for all HR processes
  • Keep up to date on HR compliance requirements and implement updated and/or new internal compliance processes/policies as needed
  • Work closely with internal business partners (People Operations, Payroll, Finance, Audit and Legal)

 

  • Oversee the development and submission of timely and accurate compliance reporting, actions and/or record administration to include, but not limited to AAP, EEO-1, Vet-100, 5500's, SPDs, I-9 records, sexual harassment prevention training, etc.
  • Audit HR data to ensure data integrity across HR systems and in functional areas that receive data from HR, including Workday, payroll, benefits, etc.

 

  • Audit all employment related documents (i.e., NH documents/agreements) to identify any gaps, inconsistencies, errors or incomplete information, unsigned/missing documents
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure employment documents are current
  • Work closely with global mobility, payroll, tax, and outside vendors as needed to ensure employment tax compliance related to international transfers or assignments
  • Work cross functionally to ensure all HR processes are appropriately implemented and the flow of information is accurate and timely
  • Define an inventory of proactive monitoring of various HR compliance initiatives /programs, and mitigate identified or emerging risks, measure internal control effectiveness, and develop action items to remediate existing risk cases

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Employment law, Human Resources, Business Management or related field
  • 8+ years of broad experience in HR Operations and compliance program management
  • 3+ years compensation experience, including experience in leveling jobs, analyzing market data and proposing sound recommendations to recruiters and HR Business Partners, maintaining internal equity and adhering to company compensation practices and philosophies
  • 3+ years benefits experience
  • Knowledge of U.S. employment practices and regulations required, global experience highly desired
  • Experience in program/project management experience, including change management, project management, stakeholder management, user training, and communications
  • Attention to details and focus on accuracy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use sound judgement to drive complex issues to resolution and influence to achieve result
  • Experience working with internal and external auditors
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Familiarity with Workday a plus
