We are currently looking for an HR & Onboarding Specialist to join our Denver based team. As the HR & Onboarding Specialist, you will report to the Sr. Director of HR and will play an integral role in supporting PointsBet's continued growth and success.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

  • Develop and oversee the Onboarding program. Coordinate new hire statuses between Talent Acquisition, HRBP teams and hiring managers to ensure all parties are aligned on timing and expectations for new hires.
  • Support and work with hiring managers directly to ensure the execution of an excellent onboarding experience across their teams. Ensure all onboarding plans are documented by the hiring manager(s) and executed on.
  • Work with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition team to align on hire dates and onboarding material.
  • Coordinate efforts with the IT and Office Manager to ensure all tech hardware, systems and company swag are delivered to the new hire ahead of their start date
  • Setup new joiner check-ins at the appropriate times during the year and with the appropriate staff members.
  • Introduce innovative and unique ideas to help engage new joiners early on with the business.
  • Create and own an onboarding survey and create a quarterly analysis to track onboarding effectiveness
  • Analyze productivity and employee engagement data related to onboarding; effectively identify patterns and identify solutions for managers to consider implementing.
  • Organize and assign annual HR related employee trainings.
  • Facilitate communication between the hiring manager and HR team to align on appropriate exit date and protocols
  • Maintain exit survey process and ensure departing staff are completing in a timely manner
  • Analyze exit survey data quarterly to provide HRBP team and hiring managers with trends / areas for improvement.
  • Process all exit related tasks including updating all applicable systems and people
  • Work with wider HR team across adhoc projects.
  • Provide overall HR compliance support and guidance related to regulatory compliance, as well as global company HR policies and procedures. Including but not limited to the administration of background process, I-9 administration, EEO filings, and labor law compliance.
  • Responsible for producing company organizational charts and tracking employee changes in partnership with licensing staff in order to meet regulatory obligations.
  • Responsible for partnership with internal and external counsel on immigration processes ensuring appropriate response, tracking, filing, and postings occur as needed.
  • Stay abreast on all employee-related legislative and regulatory changes and/or developments and ensure changes to rules and regulations are implemented within HR systems, policies, handbooks, and practices.
  • Responsible for preparing and delivering compliance-related training and communications to employees as needed.
  • Carry out employee relations investigations as necessary.


SKILLS WE SEEK

  • Thorough understanding of HR compliance practices with the ability to design processes that align with the needs of the business.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field and 2-5 years of experience in the application of compliance policies, with a solid understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and solid planning, time management, decision-making, and organization skills; a sense of urgency and excellent follow-through.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively; and influence all levels of the organization.
  • Adept at handling multiple competing priorities and duties in fast-paced, results-driven, rapidly changing environment - with minimal daily oversight.
  • Bachelor level degree or relevant work experience
  • Strong work ethic. Is accountable, works smart and pushes self and others for results
  • Relates and works cooperatively with people across levels, functions, culture, and geography to achieve shared goals
  • Innovative and comes up with useful ideas that are new, better, or unique
  • Learns quickly. Takes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks
