As a member of the People Operations team, the HR Generalist, will report to the Director of HR to help build an organization and a culture that will enable Convercent’s continued growth, success, and scale. As a generalist you will help to proactively drive initiatives and provide HR support across the business related to HR operations (HRIS, payroll, benefits, teammate on-boarding and off-boarding).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as our resident expert and main point of contact regarding benefits, payroll, and policies across all Convercent geographies (currently US, UK and Netherlands)
  • Administration of payroll and all company benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, and the 401(k) plan
  • Auditing and reconciling benefit plan enrollments in conjunction with billing and payroll cycles
  • Perform and manage new teammate on-boarding process including creating offer letters, conducting background checks, arranging drug tests, planning orientation, obtaining identity documents, entry into HRIS, providing benefits information, and ensuring the entire process is complete
  • Assist with employee off-boarding process
  • Ensure information in payroll and benefits system is current with all new and departing teammate data
  • Lead payroll administration and processing for geographically dispersed teams
  • Maintain data integrity and process efficiency throughout the full HR tech stack (Namely, Greenhouse, Thrivepass, Benefits platforms, etc.)
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance in all Convercent geographies
  • Partner with the broader People Operations team to implement and support People and Culture initiatives across the business
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment laws
  • Respond to verification of employment and unemployment requests
  • Support talent acquisition initiatives and process, from defining job descriptions, kick-off meetings, sourcing, interviewing and offer negotiation, as needed

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 4+ years of People Operations, HR Administrative or Generalist experience, preferably at a high growth tech company with a global reach
  • Current HR certification is a plus (i.e. PHR or SHRM-CP)
  • Payroll system & HRIS experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills at all levels of the organization and with external vendors including the ability to clearly communicate and interpret Human Resources policies and programs
  • Must be well versed in local, state and federal laws concerning all levels of benefits administration
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive employee information with strict adherence to confidentiality protocols
  • Exhibits a team player mentality. You genuinely enjoy approaching your work with an entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit while having fun at the same time
  • Ability to work well with frequent interruptions
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and resourcefulness
  • You are innately curious and constantly wondering what could be better, done differently, or improved
  • Commitment to working in a "startup" environment where resources and timelines are tight
  • The strong desire to make a positive impact in our teammate’s work experience
