Summary/Objective:

The HR Director is responsible for the smooth and profitable management of the company’s human resources through strategy and execution of initiatives involving employee engagement, talent performance management & calibration, training and development, onboarding, compensation and benefits planning. The HR Director will be a true people business leader and will exhibit high energy and passion to continue to build HR planning and processes to drive business growth. The HR Director will manage a HR Generalist and will scale up the team as business needs require.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop HR strategy and metrics to measure achievement of department and company goals
  • Creates and implements policies and procedures
  • Manages labor, legislative and other compliance-related issues
  • Develop, implement and optimize employee orientation and training programs
  • Research and deploy benefits plans according to the needs of the workforce
  • Identify organizational training needs and develop customized training curriculum and programs
  • Refine and deploy performance review and talent calibration schedules, policies and processes
  • Continuously research Human Resources best practices to implement and advance the business goals of the company

  • Business-centric self-driven leader that can implement HR practices that will allow the company to scale and grow profitably
  • Strategic thinker that can anticipate trends and shifts with the culture, business, and local talent/competition and proactively seize opportunities or solve issues before they occur
  • Passionate HR leader that can build organizational programs and processes from the ground up
  • Partner effectively with executives and management to drive positive organizational change
  • Strong people influencer heavily involved with employee coaching and development
  • Thrives in a start-up culture and knows how to get results quickly

Required Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree required and SPHR certification preferred
  • 8+ years of experience of progressive with HR leadership roles
  • Experience with performance management and LMS software preferred
  • Experience in training or organizational design and development preferred
  • Experience with compensation planning including benchmarking, analysis, and design
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment preferred
  • Experience with ADP and payroll systems preferred
