We are now looking for a Global Payroll and Benefits Manager to join #TeamGreen in the US. The role can be based from our Denver-HQ, or remotely across the US


Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the role will be responsible for managing global payroll and employee benefits, working closely with both Finance and People Ops.

What you will be doing

  • Payroll responsibility for the UK, USA, Ireland and Canada, including management of local payroll and benefits providers, ensuring accuracy of payments to employees
  • Manage additional countries and providers as required
  • Work closely with People Ops on payroll and benefits changes including new hires, leavers and compensation changes
  • Manage employees’ payroll and benefits queries
  • Create bi-monthly and monthly payroll approval process and policy, and ensure compliance with same; streamline global payroll processing
  • Ensure payroll tax payment deadlines and compliance requirements are met in all jurisdictions
  • Manage pension/401k plans, ensuring payment deadlines and compliance are achieved; produce pension/401k analysis when required
  • Work with People Ops and Finance on management of health insurance plans and renewals, along with cost analysis
  • Calculate employee bonus payments quarterly and annually, and submit for approval
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly sales commissions; issue commission statements to sales team
  • Contribute to headcount related reporting and payroll related budgeting
  • Assist with the management of share option agreements
  • Participate in special projects and assignments as required (e.g. ERP implementation)
  • Assist with audits, including SOX

What we are looking for

  • Extensive payroll and benefits knowledge with at least 5 years global experience in multiple tax jurisdictions, including multi-US states, with an organisation of 500+ employees
  • Up to date understanding of payroll taxes and payroll related compliance requirements for UK, USA, Ireland and Canada
  • Advanced knowledge of payroll and HR software solutions
  • Advanced Excel skills
