DIRECTOR, WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE
DESCRIPTION
Adswerve is looking for a Director of Workplace Experience to join our growing company. This new position will report to our Chief of Staff and will be responsible for all facility and administrative related matters at our existing offices in Denver, Seattle and New York. This position will also be an integral part of building out new offices in other major U.S. cities to support our growth. The Director of Workplace Experience will be based in our Denver, Colorado office and requires traveling 10-25% of the time to Seattle, New York and other major U.S. cities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating, controlling and managing facilities costs and budgets in partnership with the Chief of Staff, the Chief Financial Officer and VP of Human Resources
Maintain current office facilities in Denver, Seattle and New York, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for all employees and visitors
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure both existing and new facilities meet the requirements and needs for internal teams to work effectively in those office spaces
Manage build-out of new offices including leasing office space and creating build-out plans, schedules and budgets, ensuring new offices open on time and on budget
Manage administrative staff at each office location including overseeing office events (lunches, meetings, etc.)
Serve as primary point of contact for both employees and building landlord and building management for all things related to office space, maintenance, cleaning, etc.
Manage relationships, leases and tenant improvements with building landlord and building management as well as all utilities and services related to each building (in coordination with IT and Finance)
Manage relationships, proposals, contracts and invoices with vendors including maintenance, plumbing, electrical, janitorial and security vendors
Determine service contract requirements, develop scope of work, solicit bids, evaluate proposals and monitor contract performance for all service vendors
Obtain detailed quotes for facilities and real estate projects (new leases, office construction, furniture, etc.)
Plan and orchestrate office moves
Manage Parking in each office location
Periodically review performance specifications and pricing for all existing vendor service contracts
Monitor local, state a federal laws that impact Adswerve’s office facilities
Work with HR to plan company events
Other duties as assigned
Desired Experience:
4 years of facility management experience, office environment preferred
Ability to travel to different office locations in the U.S. up to 25% of the time
Construction, project management or mechanical background is a plus
Strong communication, project management and organizational skills
Experience collaborating with internal teams and external facilities vendors including maintenance, plumbing, electrical, janitorial and security vendors
Experience negotiating contracts with facilities vendors
